In so many ways, Vancouver is a symbol of what it means to be Canadian. A beautiful, diverse, and progressive city we strive to be inclusive of all cultures that come to our shores! We’re proud to be Canadian, and nowhere is that more clear than in our Canada Day celebrations. Second in size only to the federally funded celebrations in Ottawa, we put on a SPECTACULAR party every July 1!

Vancouver’s Canada Place is a gorgeous symbol of Vancouver’s pride. A combination centre combined with a sprawling waterfront plaza in downtown Vancouver, this beautiful piece of public infrastructure hosts some of the most exciting events in the country on Canada day!

Tens of thousands of visitors pass through, participating in fun, family-friendly activities and enjoying music from two stages. Sing, dance, get your face painted and have fun!

The Main Stage is inside in the main hall of the convention centre, and will feature incredible acts reflecting the many cultures that co-exist here in Canada. Or you can check out the second stage at the Northern tip of the plaza from the beer tent! Visiting with your family? Don’t worry, you don’t have to go to the beer tent to enjoy this outdoor stage!

While details of the Vancouver Canada Day aren’t finalized, they take place on the evening of either June 30 or July 1 (stay tuned) and passes by Canada Place – it’s unbelievably huge every year – don’t miss out!

Best of all, though, are the Canada Day fireworks that take place over Burrard Inlet every year on the evening of July 1! Watch the beautiful fireworks light up Vancouver’s harbour from the best seat in the house – Canada Place!
